6 years ago we were in the delivery ward at the Mercy Hospital in East Melbourne waiting, waiting, waiting for the star of the show to arrive. I still remember hearing “Oh, she’s a redhead!” This never even crossed my mind, I didn’t for one second think that the hair my dad had once lost, may have landed somewhere else.
We love our fiery little redhead, we wouldn’t have her any other way. And tomorrow morning she will be waking up bigger and taller than ever, this is what she has told her classmates. This afternoon at school she explained that she wont be the little kid in the class anymore and pointed to the boy who picks on her pint size the most, and said “Did you hear me (insert mean boy’s name here)!!”
