Maya’s First Day At School | Our Family Snaps

Today was the day we’d been waiting for! And when it finally got here I don’t really know how ready I really was for it. I held it together quite well, until Maya started asking me whether or not I was going to be staying with her.  We left our little lady in her new classroom and headed to our first assembly. The little preppies filed in and took their places. We got introduced to all the teachers, listened to all the small talk and then the junior school head mistress asked the new preppies to stand up. That was it for me, the tears flowed (i managed to keep them inside the eye area).

As I sit here writing this post, Maya is at school on her own for the first time. All I can think about is that in one hour I will be able to pick her up and hang out with her again.
