Well what an exciting week it has been for us. The doctors told Kate that she was going to have our baby on Wednesday however Pepper wasnt interested in that idea at all. At 2:30 am on Tuesday morning Kate’s waters broke and after dropping Maya off at our lovely neighbours house we were straight off to hospital. Almost four hours later at 6:21 am Pepper Lou was born. We really couldn’t have have asked for a more perfect birth and perfect baby. Pepper weighed in at 3.36 / 7.4 pounds.
Later in the day Maya came into the hospital to meet her big sister for the very first time. It was so heart warming to see how proud she was of her little sister. It was written all over her little face when she held her for the first time.
It really is wonderful being second time parents. Everything feels so much more relaxed and natural. We are really looking forward to the journey ahead for us and all the little milestones Pepper will have along the way.
